Steven is from the Minneapolis area, and received his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University in 2016. He has extensive experience with young adults, having worked previously with students at Bethel, North Central University, and Grove City College.
He utilizes cognitive-behavioral techniques from CBT and REBT traditions to identify and replace harmful patterns of thinking that cause distress and dysfunction. His scope of practice covers a wide variety of issues including depressed mood, excessive worry, obsessive thoughts, addictive behaviors, relational problems, and social anxiety.

Brittany is a dedicated social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University.
She has extensive experience in case management, supporting teens and families in overcoming challenges and fostering resilience. With specialized training in neuroscience and Emotion-Focused Therapy, Brittany integrates evidence-based approaches into her work. She is particularly skilled in addressing sexual issues, helping individuals navigate complex emotional and relational dynamics with empathy and expertise.

Ben Makin, LPC, NCC is available for individual or couples therapy, as well as personal coaching.

Ben is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience working with teens, families, adults, and couples. He served as Program Director and Therapist at Compass Rose Academy, where he helped bridge therapeutic care and family development. As an adjunct counseling and organizational leadership professor, Ben integrates his expertise in psychodynamic counseling, neuroscience, and leadership principles. He trained under the Makin Institute and Dr. John Townsend. Ben focuses on equipping individuals with relational and emotional tools for growth and transformation.
